My Funding Central – by far Europe's largest and most comprehensively supported funding service of its type – is a user-friendly funding tool carrying funding programmes within England. A reservoir of information that is constantly growing and continuously updated.

My Funding Central provides local, national and international funding opportunities for charities.

Information on My Funding Central is jargon-free and presented in plain English. Following an initial search, My Funding Central presents you with information at two levels of detail:

  • A thumbnail overview of potential funds.
  • A detailed report on each funding programme, providing you with everything you need to prepare your bid.
  • Hyperlinks to e-mail and web addresses are provided in every detailed report, offering you a direct line of communication to each funding provider.

My Funding Central updates its information on a continuous basis. As soon as a member of our Research team sources a new fund or updates a deadline, the updated information will feature automatically in any search you run.

Email alerts.

Activating an email alert on a saved search means that you never have to search for funding for a project more than once! Simply check the 'receive email alerts' box when saving a search in order to be sent an email advising you of any updated or new funding programmes that match your criteria as and when they change. Email alerts can be de-activated at any time in the 'Saved items' section of the site.

My Funding Central's reported funding opportunities are updated and maintained by a strong in-house Research team. Each team member concentrates on a particular area of funding and regularly researches and writes content for My Funding Central. Our researchers are trained copywriters and editorial specialists who are able to take often complex funding guidelines and policy papers and present them in an easily digestible format. With many decades of funding experience, the Research team is solely dedicated to searching for new funding opportunities all day and every day.

Yes, to keep track of your upcoming deadlines you can set up email alerts. Email alerts will update you when a fund deadline is coming up.

Subscribing and unsubscribing

Navigate to the subscribe now page. After you have entered all the necessary information and paid any applicable subscription fees, an account will be automatically created for you and you will be subscribed to My Funding Central.

Every subscription has a pre-defined number of user accounts included. To see the number of user accounts you get, please check our subscription fees page.

You can subscribe if you are based in England, and are a small community-based organisation, small voluntary organisation, registered charity or small business enterprise with an annual turnover of up to £ 1 million per annum.

You can pay safely with us via your credit or debit card.

No, every year we will send you a reminder to renew your subscription. We will check again to see if you are still in the correct turnover band.

There is no automatic renewal of your subscription to My Funding Central. Your access to the site will lapse when your subscription expires.

We will delete your data from our system when you are no longer a customer with us. Further details on this can be found in our privacy policy.

My Funding Central recognises only parent charity numbers. You can use this number without the (- "digit") indication to register your linked charity.
e.g. If your charity number is 123456-1 you will need to enter 123456 during the registration process.

  • If you are a linked charity or main charity with linked charities, please contact your main charity first. It may be that the main charity or linked charity is already registered with your charity registration number.
  • If you are not a linked charity and your charity number has been registered before, please contact us via: enquiries.mfc@idoxgroup.com.

Are you registered with the Charity Commission but your charity number is not recognised? This can be for a number of reasons. Please contact us at enquiries.mfc@idoxgroup.com.

When subscribing we will retrieve the last annual turnover figures that were submitted to the Charity Commission. The subscription fee shown will be based upon that figure only. It is possible that the turnover you have currently does not match the turnover figures shown.

My Funding Central is only accessible for charities within England.

Log-in to My Funding Central

If you have forgotten your password, you can use the password reset facility available at the log-in stage by clicking on the question ‘Forgotten your password?' You will be asked to enter your e-mail address, after which you will be sent an email containing a link that will enable you to reset your password.

You can reset your password in your account details.

We use the registered email address as your username. This email address can also be seen by any of the other registered users from your organisation when they log in and navigate to User administration.

How do I use My Funding Central?

The primary feature of My Funding Central is the facility to search for funding initiatives for your project and produce an applicable list of funding results. This is best used when you have a particular project in mind.

From the search page you can search by a combination of:

  • Keyword search
  • Organisation type
  • Areas of work
  • Locations
  • Activities
  • Eligible expenditure
  • Geographic scope
  • Fund status
  • Funding bodies

Clicking on "Saved Items" brings up the page where you can find your saved searches and your saved funds.

Your personal details are stored in account details alongside your organisational details. You can also change your password from this page.

Go to the User administration section of the website. This lists all users alphabetically along with their personal details, email address, telephone number and the date that they were registered.

New users can be added at any time by selecting the 'New user' hyperlink.

The registration process is straightforward; complete the short form and click 'Create user'. The new user will be supplied with a welcome email to set-up their account and start using My Funding Central immediately.

The top of the screen indicates how many licences are in use and how many are left as part of your subscription.

I am a funder

If you are a funder and you want to submit your fund details to be considered for inclusion in My Funding Central, please contact us directly via funders.mfc@idoxgroup.com.

Note, this email address should only be used by funding organisations looking to include or update funds on My Funding Central.
